Hello!
I am a Geospatial Professional with a Masters in Applied Geography and Geospatial Sciences. I specialize in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for environmental protection, prediction and technological progress. I am experienced in scripting and automation for GIS, as well as creating predictive models for informed decision making. I have experience creating products using proprietary and open-source software for mapping, scripting and design. I am personally interested in the technology that informs geospatial knowledge; such as hardware, software and their integration.
I have developed a highly specialized knowledge and broad skill set during my education. While I love viewing the Earth (and other planets) from above, I am fascinated by the tiny interactions which shape our physical and personal environment. My work experience, course work and personal intrigue has allowed me to study these interactions in-depth.
In addition to the specialized skills above, I possess the soft skills to work in a team environment, both as a teacher and a dedicated worker. I have managed and organized large groups of people, as well as successfully collaborated in small groups to achieve a goal. I work well with my hands and when given the opportunity I enjoy breaking things down, discovering how they work and reassembling them.
I am an expert in the use of ESRI's ArcMap, ArcPro and the rest of the ever-developing ESRI Enterprise, as well as remaining well versed with QGIS. I also enjoy discovering and implementing new software.
I am proficient in coding in Python and R*, and I have experience with HTML and CSS. Additionally, I am adept with Microsoft's suite of tools, including Excel, Word, Access and Powerpoint.
